La Quinta by Wyndham Houston Bush IAH South

We stayed at this hotel after our cruise as it is close to the airport and has a free shuttle to the airport. We arrived early due to having to leave the ship early and the front desk person kept our luggage in a room until we could enter our room. There are tables to play cards, read, or watch tv until our room was ready. We were able to get into our room early which was great. The room was spacious. The shower floor was slippery and when mentioned to the front desk, they were aware that this was an issue as other patrons had said the same thing, Note, as this hotel is close to the airport, you can hear the planes overhead. We kept the fan on constant and could not hear the planes. There was the standard breakfast food which was great.

We go to this hotel regularly and have always been satisfied with the quality/price ratio. The hotel is also a few minutes from the airport and the hotel shuttle works perfectly. Now we see that they have made changes and progress for the better. They have modernized the equipment, improved the equipment in the bathrooms. They have also renovated the hotel lobbies and the elevator. We like it more and more here and we will come back again. I love the garden with the pool.

Was nice and clean! But The transportation service to the airport was denied since the flight I had scheduled was at 6 am and they said that they did not have transportation service for that flight. The receptionists were indifferent and rude.

The Continental breakfast exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting scrambled eggs and sausage, waffles, and surprise..delicious biscuits and gravy. Great coffee too. Comfortable bedding and soft linens. The place was quiet (second floor). Friendly and helpful reception (and shuttle driver, too).

Room and hotel were as expected. The buffet breakfast was generous and enjoyable. I had someone in the next room who liked to watch TV late but that's not down to the hotel. I was very tired so I slept anyway. There was a microwave in the room and a little shopping area near reception. That was good and also a decent price. I got a personal pizza for lunch for $5 and zapped it in my room. There was a very reasonable late check out deal.
